Goodbye Uncle Chris

Last Monday afternoon I got a phone call from my brother saying that my Uncle Chris had died. His autopsy has not come back yet, but the doctor's are pretty sure that he died from a massive heart attack. He was 46 years old. He is survived by his wife and 3 children (ages 11-18). This was a complete shock to my family. Uncle Chris had gotten a "clean bill of health" from his doctor 2 weeks prior to his death.

Having yet another family member pass away has made me think a lot about the importance of this life. It has yet reminded me that I need to love a little more. I need to anger a lot less! I need to be more patient and caring to others. I need to be more forgiving. I need to keep in better touch with those that I love. I need to be more grateful for the blessings that I have.

Also, losing another family member has made me grateful to know that families can be together forever. It brings a lot of peace to me to know that I will be able to see my Uncle Chris, Uncle Willie, Grandma Willis, Uncle Larry, Uncle Erick, Aunt Char, and cousin Cassandra again. Even though I miss all of these great people, it brings peace knowing that I have guardian angels on the other side. I will miss my Uncle Chris, but at least I know that I will see him again.
