Public or Private Blog....that is the question????
We've been thinking of switching our blog to private lately because I've heard some rather freaky stories about people finding too much personal information on different people's blogs....it kinda worries me? Any suggestions??????
private is always good and safe, but in my opinion, my blog is for other people to see what is going on in my life. I want my friends to be able to find my blog and catch up with me. BUT if you're worried about being safe, you can always invite people after.
I was thinking about that a few months ago, and decided to keep mine public. I did adjust the settings though so I can't be found by googling and where I won't be on the "next blog" button on the top of blogger. This way only my friends and friends of my friends (that click from their blog) can look at mine. I also try to not put any specific info about us. Like our address or outside pictures of our house. But do what you feel is best.
Ours is currently public, but not found on search engines and stuff as well, so people I tell about it can find it and people who visit the blogs of my friends and family. I don't know. We may change it as Jackson gets older, but I feel safe for now.

ReplyDeleteI vote stay public. It's your own fault if you are putting up private information. Just be smart about what you post!
