This is the day that we planted the garden.
So I know that this might be considered kinda funny to some, but you gotta do what you gotta do. A few weeks ago, Andy and I went and bought some pots, soil, and seeds to plant our first little garden together. Due to the fact that we don't have a yard, this is as good as we could do...but we've had a lot of fun with it. We even used some of our Target gift cards (leftover from our wedding) to buy a Topsy Turvy Tomato Planter (basically the Tomatoe plant goes upside down so the roots are in the planter (this way they are supposed to get more sun or something)....we thought it looked interesting and so we thought we would give it a try. We also planted another tomato plant in a pot and a strawberry plant in a pot, everything else we have grown from seed. We'll see how this goes! Now I feel like an extremely old married person because I just posted about plants that I am growing. I think I need a life!
I love that you are gardening! I want to do it so bad! It is awesome that you will have home grown produce!
ReplyDeleteWow, your plants are growing fast! I think it's cool you have a little garden. I definitely want to grow some of my own food in the future.
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm totally jealous. My strawberry plants are struggling to survive. I planted ten and only have two left. But hey, maybe one day they will grow a strawberry. Anyway, just thought I'd say that even us unmarried people plant gardens :)
ReplyDeleteIf you are old, we are ancient becaue I blog about even more "boring" things and I will be jealous if birds don't attack your berries and such. We have awful birds. We are hoping to buy a fake owl soon to see if it helps. Good luck to you...
ReplyDeleteIf you are old, we are ancient because we blog about even more boring things. And I will be jealous if all your crops survive because we have soem naughty birds here. We plan to buy a fake owl soon in hopes to scare them off. Good luck to you!!
